Lash Services FAQ's

What to know before your lash appointment

When coming in for any lash service we ask that you come in with no mascara or eyeliner to not take time away from your appointment to remove your makeup. When you book a lash service (excludes lash fills) you are required to provide a non-refundable $50 deposit that goes towards your service. If you cancel or no show that deposit is lost and half the service has to be paid at the time of rebooking.

How long do lash extensions last?

Most lash extension adhesives have a bond time of anywhere from 4-8 weeks but it also depends on your natural lash cycle. Similar to all the other hair on your body, your lashes grow in stages. It is normal to lose 1-4 natural lashes per day which is why our fills are recommended every 2, 3 or 4 weeks.

How do I care for my lash extensions?

Anytime you get lash extensions you should keep in mind the activities you do.

How often you are in the sun, sweating at the gym and how you sleep.

It is very easy to lose lashes on one eye due to your sleep direction. If you sleep on your left side, you will see as the days go by your left eye starts looking a little lighter. Avoid sleeping on your side to prevent unnecessary fall out.

Climate can also affect your lashes. In the transition from Fall to Winter and Winter to Spring you can see a lot more shedding in between those times due to the weather changes and other different factors can cause fall out. Keep this in mind when booking fills during the seasons.

THINGS TO AVOID :

  • Applying mascara or makeup on the eyes

  • Avoid oil based products

  • Avoid saunas, steam showers, and be careful swimming!

  • Please do not use a lash curler.

  • Please do not pick at your lashes.

Here at Glam Esthetics we offer an After Care Kit ($20.00) to care for your lashes at home or the cleanser ($8.00).

Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?

No! When lash extensions are applied with the proper isolation and weight for your eyes, they should not bother you or harm your natural lashes at all.

Our service professionals are trained to bring your visions to life while also providing you a safe experience in their chair. They are trained and experienced - Before your appointment of course we will take a look at your natural lashes to ensure this is the best route.
